My name is Joel and I'm an engineering physics graduate with a background in control systems and particle and accelerator physics. My master's thesis focused on mitigating the peak field input to the MAX IV accelerator, by designing a control system for a section of the power transfer. I had the opportunity to work with modeling and implementing the system and learned a lot about electronics and programming along the way.

Working at DVel feels great, as I can apply what I learned through my studies, and continue to grow from here. I also appreciate everyone's willingness to help each other out. It makes taking on new projects exciting and I always feel that we learn more by tackling problems together.
